›HIV – the Human Immune Virus – is a virus that kills the cells in your body that fight infection and disease.
›AIDS – Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome- is the disease you get when HIV destroys your body’s immune system.
Risk Factors
›ANYONE can get HIV/AIDS.
›UNPROTECTED SEX OR SHARING NEEDLES with someone whom has the virus can increase your risk of contracting HIV/AIDS.
Protect Yourself
›CHOOSE NOT TO HAVE SEX: Abstinence is the safest proven way to avoid HIV/AIDS.
›USE A CONDOM - (How to use a condom)
›DON’T SHARE: Needles, Razors, or Toothbrushes because of the possibility of contact with blood.
