The following services are available to UMass Boston faculty and staff:

Episodic Care

Minor episodic injuries or illness may be evaluated and treated though our department on an appointment basis only.

To utilize our services, please call to make an appointment with our well qualified staff of nurse practitioners, where same day appointments are available.

University Health Services does not bill your insurance company for your visit. A $30 fee will be collected at the time of your visit. Payment may be made by check, cash, or major credit card.

Health Surveillance

Work specific health surveillance is coordinated with the UMass Boston Department of Environmental Health and Safety.

Immunizations and Skin Testing

Updates on immunizations and PPD testing are available as required.

PPD Testing (TB Testing) – $10.00 charge

Immunizations – MMR, Hepatitis B, and Tetanus/Diphtheria – $20.00 per immunization

Influenza Vaccine – Flu shots available for a nominal fee watch for future advertising

Laboratory Services

Phlebotomy charge $5.00. Bring a medical order from your primary care provider and a UHS laboratory technician will draw your blood and the results will be sent to your primary care provider by Quest Diagnostics.

Quest Diagnostics is an outside laboratory that will bill your insurance company for your laboratory work, so please be prepared and bring your insurance card with you.

Confidential HIV/AIDS Testing

Travelwell Travel Clinic

$75.00 plus cost of vaccines

Our Travelwell program provides comprehensive pre-travel consultation and immunizations to maximize your health during travel outside the United States at very affordable rates. Click here for more information.

Skin Care Services

Affordable Chemical Facial Peels are available by appointment for $50.00 , for more information click here.
