University Health Services offers confidential HIV/AIDSÂ counseling and testing.
Know the Facts
HIV – the Human Immune Virus – is a virus that kills the cells in your body that fight infection and disease.
AIDS – Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome- is the disease you get when HIV destroys your body’s immune system.
Risk Factors
ANYONE can get HIV/AIDS.
UNPROTECTED SEX OR SHARING NEEDLES with someone whom has the virus can increase your risk of contracting HIV/AIDS.
Protect Yourself
CHOOSE NOT TO HAVE SEX: Abstinence is the safest proven way to avoid HIV/AIDS.
USE A CONDOM – (How to use a condom)
DON’T SHARE: Needles, Razors, or Toothbrushes because of the possibility of contact with blood.
