Health Services Staff

Our interdisciplinary healthcare team includes a variety of professional and administrative support staff. Clinical staff is comprised of nurse practitioners, consulting physicians, psychologists, social workers, laboratory technicians, and health educators.

In support of the academic mission of the college, some services are provided by UMass Boston and other local college undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate students. These students function within our department with direct supervision of faculty and staff.

Special psychotherapy interests: psychotherapy as a process of facilitating clients’ readiness for change and growth; the promotion of optimal experience and peak performance; acculturation issues as experienced by international, immigrant, and refugee students, as well as by first-generation college students; religion and spirituality; the integration of psychotherapy with Twelve Step Recovery; and, relationship issues.

Special administrative interests: facilitation of communication, innovation, and conflict management between people of different cultures; assessment and improvement of organizational culture and climate; leadership and team development; change management
